PO approval is not working after new employee assignment is created

Hello Gurus,

We have a buyer and her employee record is modified by end dating the current assignment and creating a new assignment.  We have reassigned the position to the employee since we use position hierarchy.

After the change, buyer is not able to submit PO for approval as it is showing no approver found.

Please let me know any ideas on how this can be debugged and resolved.
