Cloning 11.2.0.2 RAC (Linux) to 11.2.0.3 RAC (Windows)

Hi,

We have a 2 node 11.2.0.2 RAC database running on Linux. This is the source database

We have installed a 2 node 11.2.0.3 GRID and RDBMS software on Windows 2008 R2
We have not created the database yet .The ASM instance is up and running and we do have
the same ASM Disk groups as on the 11.2.0.2 (source) database

We have this requirement of cloning over the 11.2.0.2 database onto 11.2.0.3 database
We can use export / import but we are thinking of using RMAN to do that due to various reasons related
to export / import strategy


On the source database (11.2.0.2) we created RMAN backup (full database plus archivelog)
