Will EAM work without an EBS instance?

Hi,

We are planning to implement EAM to make use of its functionalities, as listed below:

1. Asset database

2. Spare parts inventory

3. Preventive/corrective maintenance scheduling (auto-work order creation)

4. Auto-notification facility

We have two separate EBS instances and we would like to integrate EAM with both but since that would probably not be possible, we will settle with having a standalone EAM.  Are there any of the functionalities I enumerated above that would not be available for us to use if we do NOT integrate EAM with an EBS instance?
