Hi All,

i need your valuable help, we wan to do maintainance activity for one of our production database. at fisrt we are starting with the space managment, means we wan to release space on OS level which is being occupied by our datafiles , as a action plan , i am planing to perform below tasks.

1- use shrinking option at opject level.

a ) - first i ll generate a report for all those objects (TABLEs,INDEX,LOB) that are fregmented and possibley can release space.

   b) - after generation report, ll shrink all those objects

c)- after shrinking , i ll have free space in my TABLESPACE where as my USED space will remain same as before shrinking process and also on OS level my DB files will remain as of same size as before shrinking

Howdy, Stranger!
