FA to GL Reconciliation

Hi

i'm looking at building a sql query to get asset cost and accumulated depreciation balances for each asset category from the fixed assets tables and the GL Balance for the Cost & accumulated depreciation accounts from the the GL tables
Can anybody advise if this is possible and if so what tables should I use
