Can we use local tape in Veritas Netbackup which is attached to SL500!

Dear All,

I have one query regarding the tape drive.I have one server T5120 which is connected to SL500 and Veritas Netbackup is installed on this T5120.I am running daily backups on it so no problem.

Now i have attached one LT05 Sas tape drive to T5120 and it is connected and visible on the Sun Solaris OS and iam able to take backups on it running using the ufsdump command.Now my question is can i use this LT05 directly attached tape drive in Veritas Netbackup.Means configuring in Netbackup and run the backups on it.From SL500 iam getting 2 tapes and can i be able to get this tape (total 3) tapes in Veritas Netbackup gui?
