How the link between Journal sources and categories are set?

Hi All

Still there is no setup to link Journal Categories with Journal Sources. However i can see the journals from subledgers will come to GL with proper Category. For instance, in Projects we are sending two types of categorys, Project Revenue and Labor cost. When we transfer the revenue it will come to gl with Project Revenue Category and Costing will come with Labor Cost Category.

Where this link is being maintained?
