What are the valid file types for the Institution Logo on FA Shopping Sheet (CSS V9.0 Bundle 28)?

We have started to test the FA Shopping Sheet that was delivered as new functionality under Campus Solutions V9.0 Bundle 28.  We have started to do the setup and are wondering what types of files are acceptable for the "Institution Logo".  This is a required field on the setup page.  If one is not supplied, a default logo is used. 

Can someone supply me with a list of valid file types for the Institution Logo?

Where do we store this image within the PeopleSoft database?
