Contact center - Party Name with Double byte % search does not retrieve results

Hi

We are on R12.13 and have this problem with Japanese customers.

First name of recipient: コウシンLast name of recipient: ロウ% in double byte: ％in between the first and last name here there is a double byte space: コウシン　ロウSo I find コウシン％ロウ works in 11i but not in R12.

looks like a character set issue .Could you please advise on pointers how to proceed
