snapshot or archive of a branded zone?

Hi,

I'm wondering if it's possible to somehow create a snapshot or archive of a branded zone prior to applying patches.  This would provide an environment to roll back to, similiar to a boot environment on a non-branded zone.  In Solaris 11, pkg will create a new boot environment for the patches to go into.  Is there some way to set up something similar for branded zones.
