Periods keep randomly opening and closing

Hello friends,

So..my periods keep randomly opening and closing.

I'm not entirely sure how this happens, but my record history does not reflect the last person that was actually in there. So I go in close the period or open the period, and a couple weeks later or a month later when we go to open the next period, we see that the period stayed open.

I really have no idea what this is doing.
