How to Force a corefile on the various ILOM/ALOM/SC/SPARC/X86/x64 platforms?

Trying to locate the needed, platform specific, situation specific, steps and commands to force a corefile on all the different HW platforms and configurations is much more difficult than it needs to be.
How does one force a corefile for each platform type, console type, situation type? 
Hopefully this will result in a list or table that can be consolidated into a Knowledge document.
