Change SGA size in a RAC environment

Hi

We would like to change the SGA size having minimum impact on a RAC with 2 instances.

Can we change this parameter and then shut down an instance1 first,  boot back instance1 and shutdown instance 2, reboot instance 2 ? This way we can do it with maximum availability ?
