Receiving ORA-03113 and ORA-07445 on opening database ver 10.1.0.5

After system administration was unable to migrate servers I have been notified we have a database that will not start.  It is a 10.1.0.5 database for OAS. The situation is this the database will mount, no files show as needing recovery, no files show as being in backu mode, when alter database open issued an ORA-03113 end of communication channel is issued.  In the alert log a reference to a trace file for ORA-07445 exists.

I checked support and found a couple of potential notes.  The first Note:422646.1  said the alert log itself is too big.  It isn't.  The second said there could be an issue in dbs/hc_<OracleSID>.dat and to rename it.  No change in behavior.  The online ORA-00600 tools section for matching stack traces does not work yet.
