Credit Checking not getting triggered when there is a change in Sales Order line item price

We are on R12.1.3 and have installed credit management. Our credit checking rule is at order level and it is triggered at order booking. We booked an order and it went on credit hold which was released from credit management. However there was an additional line added to the sales order subsequently which didnot trigger credit check even though it was expected. Please let us know the reason for this.
