In Self Service I need to know how the supervisor approval functionality works.

In Self Service I had made setups, and using supervisor approval functionality. Now the I can create time cards, save then and even submit then also, but when I go through the employee's supervisor's ID for which I had save the time cards, there is no notification etc. so I can approve the submitted time cards, please guide me that how can I approve or reject these time cards.
