Price End Dates

Hi

We are using the supplier catalog for fixing the prices for the Vendor & Item Tagging. But when the  Price Date is expried. Its not showing error. Rather its taking the average price for raising the purchase order.

We would like to have a alert or any block that item for generating any purchase order. Is there any option or any work around to overcome this problem.

We are on JDE 8.11 SP1
