US PAY: How to Setup State Disability Insurance mid-year

Our city is talking about switching over from a private disability insurance plan to the California SDI plan.  Are there any documents that describe how to set this up?

Is it just a matter of updating the GRE's two State Tax Rules screens for SDI Self Adjust Method, ER SDI Rate, and SDI EE Withheld Rate?  Do you have to create or link any element, or does it use "US_TAX_VERTEX_SDI" automatically?  Are there any balances to set up?
