Installation of Enterprise Manager Ops Center

I understand that Enterprise Manager Ops Center can assist with OS patching and monitoring of the servers.

 

Would this have to be installed on a physical server, or could it go on a non-global zone?

 

If installed on a non-global zone, would it cause a lot of extra network traffic and impact on the running of the global zone/other zones running on there?

 

Has anyone had any experience with using Ops Center on a virtual server?

 

Is it a useful tool for monitoring, being proactive with OS patching etc for smaller environments eg 25 servers only and worth spending time setting it up?
