Migration 11i to R12 : Are transfer and posting ALL in 11i MANDATORY actions before upgrading
Hi all,
We are in migration project of Oracle EBS from 11i to R12, I've read in a blog (http://orclappsfunctional. blogspot.com/2011/09/sla-sub- ledger-accounting-upgrade.html) that :
- It is good practice to transfer or post all 11i data from your respective subledgers (i.e., AP, AR, FA, etc.,) to the General Ledger before running the Downtime upgrade.
- You can post data after going live; however, you should avoid, if at all possible, having 11i accounted data that has not been transferred prior to upgrading.

Is the action of transfer and post all in 11i a mandatory step?
What are the risks of ignoring this action = having unposted journals and non-transferred movments in the upgraded 11i?
