Unable to create standby from primary: ORA-17627: Message 12577

Hi,

I came back from a Oracle DataGuard 11g training classw and am trying to implement what I learnt from the training class in our network environment using Oracle 11g and Windows 2008 platform. 

I am having trouble with a RMAN script I composed to perform  database duplication at the primary database host using a reference from the class in linux platform.  I have already prepared the primary database in terms log archive destination setting, and have the standby database in nomount mode in the standby server.  All is good, it is just when I ran the script at the primary, it gave me an error of ORA-17627: Message 12577, and not sure what I have missed.  Thank you for your assistance.
