Prevent updates to stream destination machine.

Team,
In one direction streams, does Oracle provide a way to prevent changes (insert/updates/deletes) to
destination machine DB not comming through the stream? If changes were applied to destination machine DB directly,
 the source and destination databases will be out of sync. How to prevent that from happing?
