AR/AP Netting, Customer Profile class query

Hi,

I was setting up AR/AP Netting process in R12 as per note 'AP AR Netting Setup and Usage [ID 1399565.1]' (Point 1A). It is a requirement to setup the customer Profile Class to 'Default'. Is this a real requirement? Will I be able to create a AP AR netting with any other custom profile?

If yes, what is the business reason for keeping it as 'Default"

Please assist.
