Admin web server hang

The admin web server on one of our 7420 boxes seems to hang. I have tried restarting it by logging in via ssh and restarting the http service with no luck. This is the latest sw version 2011.1.5. Is this a known problem ? How to remedy without rebooting the head ?Thanks,
