Item not picked automatically

Hi,
We have items which are procured from outside when order comes in order management, now the problem is the items are received but they are not pick released automatically.

The other thing I have seen is that the item are not rserved on sales order but status is released to warehouse fater manually running pick release(only happening to few items.)

 mtl_reservations --no record exist
mtl_demand s where --no record exist
mtl_material_transactions_temp --record exist
mtl_onhand_quantities_detail --record exist

any help ?
