PAY: Partial Period Accrual Calculation

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone may have a solution to prevent a particular element or costing string from being picked up in the partial period accrual calculations?  Currently, when an employee exercises their stock appreciation rights and we process a distribution this amount is being picked up in the accrual, we would like to prevent this from happening.  Is there anyway that you can turn taht element 'off' from being picked up in the accural?
