Ship Confirm by Trip not shipping the Sales Order but simply confirming the delivery

Is there a profile setting or a set-up somewhere to change the behavior of Ship Confirming a Trip from Confiming all Deliveries to actually Shipping the order and closing all trip/trip stops?
