How can we sync to Oracle homes ?

Hi All,
Just to reduce downtime for DB patches ..I want to user the following methodology.

I want to apply DB patches on Oracle Home A and then wants to sync my HOME B with patches applied in HOME A.. Is it possible ?

Step 1 : Apply patch under HOME A
Step 2: Sync HOME B and Inventory of B using some commands
Step 3: Run post patch step in DATABASE B, if applicable

Pls. let me if it's possible and how ?
