Upgrading from 8.1.1.7 SEA to 8.1.1.9 SIA

Hi,

I know everybody refers to the Migration advisor: Siebel SEA to Siebel SIA [Note 1478375.1] but I don’t find the specifics in how to perform this upgrade.

We are currently uninstalling our 8.1.1.7 SEA server, then installing 8.1.1.9 SIA, then performing the repository upgrade. Is it possible to upgrade from SEA to SIA without uninstalling and reinstalling Siebel Server software?

Is not the repository the only thing that neds to be migrated?

For example, somehow within 8.1.1.7 SEA perform the repository migration, and then once we are in 8.1.1.7 SIA install the MR 8.1.1.9.

I understand that’s what Chetan is trying to explain in this post -How do you upgrade from SEA 8.1.1.4 to SIA (pref 8.1.1.9):
