Inactive Resource due to end of employment

Hi,

I've the following business scenarios, where an ex-employee still hold a resource in the services/sales modules (Sales person and etc..).

Although the employee / users has end date, their resource remains active.

I'm familiar with the concurrent: Synchronize Employees , however I do not know what exactly I'm expected to happen while running it.

In addition, if I closed the resource (with end effective date), what would happen to the records such as (order, contract) that contains this object, are they going to be stuck in the interface, etc...
