Users are unable to enter Previous employment data of rehire employee

We have a case in which facing issue regarding previous employment form. Let suppose, Employee “A” was in firm1 between 01-jul-2008 to 31-jul-2009. He joined hrms-firm2 from 01-aug-2009 to 01-mar-2010 and then resigned and joined firm3 and worked between the periods 01-apr-2010 to dec-2012. Now he has again re-joined HRMS-Firm2 from 01-jan-2013 but when we trying to enter his/her previous employment which served between “01-aug-2009 to 01-mar-2010” is not allowed by system raising an error "APP-PER-449796: Enter a previous employment start date earlier than the employee's hire date".

  Any advice.
