Is there any process to find out the backup date from an old RMAN backup piece?

HI all,

we have RMAN backup of last years data. Now i need to restore the data for a particular time eg: Nov12 2012 in TEst instance.

  I dont know which backup piece is taken on which date.

 How to identify the correct pieces?

Is there any process to find out the backup date from a RMAN backup piece?

what is the process to restore other than using "duplicate target database " command?

Please help me.
