Update RowSet used by many reports, Do I have to rebuild the reports?

I have a client that needs to update a rowset that is used by many reports.  For the change in the rowset to take they are having to rebuild the reports which is time consumming.

Is there a better way to make the changes take affect without having to rebuild.

We are in 12.1.3 EBS, 11gR2 DB
