Had a quick question regarding the processing of a Work Order vs. Service Order.

Thanks is Advance for your time and shared knowledge.

Hi all,

This is our scenario:

We are a medical devices company that wants to use the Work Order application to repair damaged parts from kits, the parts are screws and instruments used in surgery.

We are attempting to find the best method for using Work Orders to facilitate our needs but are running into several issues that make it a less than perfect scenario.

Sit tight it's an interesting scenario...

It begins by removing a damaged part from the kit at Branch Plant #1 and sending them to BP (#2) in the same building. Upon receipt at BP#2 a repair route - disposition - is made: Scrap it / OK-As-is / Outside Repair or in-House Rework. Except for scrap, the other 3 steps continue with Repair > Clean(Sterilize) > Inspect > Restock.

Howdy, Stranger!
