Stage Message and retry count

Hi,

I have a situation where where sim stage_message table shows retry count of 500 and message is not processed. The reason why it isn't processed is due to a CRE message which was processed later than the one I am after. What option do I have to change the retry count and have this message processed? Is changing the retry_count back to zero an option?

Any ideas ?
