Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Change LEDGER /LEGAL ENTITY NAME - IMPACTS!!!

Hi All,

Our company changed its name and has a completely new name.

The old name is referred to in the Ledger name and LE Name.

As a part of the r12 upgrade, we are renaming the Ledger name to reflect the new name.

We are also thinking of renaming the LE Entity name to the new name.

Can anyone guide me as to what the impact would be for various financial modules? Both functionally and technically?

Our BSV is the segment1 which is the Company.

Which would be the preferred to way - rename the LE or end-date the old LE and create a new LE and associate the same to the new renamed Ledger?
