Recovery Catalog cleanup - Performance Issue

Dear All,

I want to run maintainance on recovery catalog having records older than a year.

Resync catalog runs fast but crosscheck backup and Delete obsolete command is very slow.

Crosscheck seems to be running forever and Delete obsolete takes around 20 mins to delete one record.

Environment: Oracle 11.2.0.2, recovery catalog database in 11.2.0.2, Veritas Netbackup 7

When i trace the session during crosscheck backup, i can see it taking aroung 1-2 mins to validate backuppiece.
