Hello all

Can anyone explain to me what the  default_cleanup_interval  parameter of the dbms_audit_mgmt.init_cleanup procedure actually means? The documentation states this: "The default time interval, in hours, after which the cleanup procedure should be called. The minimum value is 1 and the maximum is 999."

What does "should be called" mean? My understanding is that no cleanup is done before the dbms_audit_mgmt.clean_audit_trail prcedure is called, either manually or automatically via dbms_audit_mgmt.create_purge_job. Can anyone clarify this?

Best regards Niels Jespersen
