Customer site address changes not saving due to population of SALES_TAX_GEOCODE in R12

 Hi -  Checking to see if anyone has run into a similar scenario and what if any solution was performed.

Search customer account

Select site address to update (bill/ship to etc..)

Update any address line (address line 1, city, county, state, etc..)

Select <save> or <apply>

Oracle OAF pages confirms the changes have been applied, but the old address remains.   We have isolated the issue to table HZ_LOCATIONS  and attribute SALES_TAX_GEOCODE.  If the geocode is null, the address changes will save.  If the geocode is not null the addresses will not change.   Our environment is using Vertex for sales tax calculation.
