12cAgent monitoring databases on solaris sprac 5.9 constantly generates errors and eventually crashe

The 12c agent running on a solaris sparc 5.9 server constantly shows java related erros. Spawns defunct processes and eventually crashes after a couple of days.
Some of the errors from gcagent.log are
oracle.sysman.emSDK.agent.comm.exception.VerifyConnectionException: unable to connect to http server
Caused by: javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: peer not authenticated

oracle.sysman.emSDK.agent.comm.TMCommException: failed to read HTTP response status
Caused by: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: bad record MAC

java.lang.NullPointerException
javax.net.ssl.SSLException: SSL peer shut down incorrectly
java.io.FileNotFoundException
java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: Invalid Packet Lenght
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01403: no data found
