Modify Lead's custom field when certain Activity occurred

Here's what I want to do
When an Activity occurs, if its Type is equal to "Sales" then I want to update a custom field ("Sales Name") for the Lead that this Activity belongs to.

I'm thinking of doing this in a Workflow.  Do you have any idea of how I can go about doing this or is this even possible using workflow?
