Can the format "EDIFACT PAYMUL Format" be used in North America for Electronic/Wire Payments?

Hello

I would like to know which countries generally use the payment format "EDIFACT PAYMUL Format"? Is it globally accepted format or specific to some countries?

Can it be used in North America for Electronic/Wire Payments?
