Is it possible to display information from one flexfield into another via personalisation?

Does anyone know a way of holding data in one flexfield and being able to display it in elsewhere?

I want to hold and maintain information in Inventory > Asset Attributes but display this information in Install Base > Item Instance Flexfield Details

My aim is to hold and update my asset attributes but use the Item Instance Flexfield Details to display some of this data on the self service assets screen without maintaining two sets of data due to the risk and likelihood these will get out of sync. for example a building may have Asbestos in the fabric and i want to be able to hold this in the attributes but display against the asset without having to drill down into the asset attributes
