GSD is showing offline

Hello expert,

                     In our rac environment (Clusterware 11.2.0.2) I can see that gsd is howing offline.As per my understanding gsd takes request from srvctl for administering rac database (specially start/stop).If that is the case then in current situation if we want to start/stop instance/db using srvctl will that fail?

crs_stat -t | grep gsd
ora.gsd        ora.gsd.type   OFFLINE   OFFLINE
ora....n01.gsd application    OFFLINE   OFFLINE
ora....n02.gsd application    OFFLINE   OFFLINE
ora....n03.gsd application    OFFLINE   OFFLINE
ora....n04.gsd application    OFFLINE   OFFLINE
ora....n05.gsd application    OFFLINE   OFFLINE
ora....n06.gsd application    OFFLINE   OFFLINE
