queries regarding switch and SAN

Dear All,

I have some quries regarding switch san SAN.Appreciate if you can help me.

I have Sun Storage Tek 6540 installed in my environment.As you know it has dual controllers and each controller having 4 Host Ports.So 4 ports from controller A and 4 ports controller B

1.Controller A ports----2 connected to switch A and 2 connected to switch B

2.Controller B Ports----2 connected to Switch A and 2 connected to switch B

Now i have some queries.Please

Question1----Suppose if a create a volume in 6540 and suppose i take the preffered contoller (A or B or Any )so this volume will be mapped from both controller??
