Currency date for functional currency

Hi,

EBS 12.1.3. General Ledger.

We enter journals in the functional currency. In such a case the currency conversion date is greyed out. So it is impossible to chenge the currency conversion date. However our client used R11 before and in the old application when they enter a journal in the functional currency it is possible to change the currency conversion date as the field is active and editable. The R12 is a new implementation - it is not a technical upgrade.

What is the reason if this behaviour? We have checked the possible profile values but found nothing related to it. The only possible reason we think about is that on R11 our client uses average balances or rather average balances are activated as in fact they are not used in practice. But perhaps enabling average balances activates the currency conversion date for the functional currency...

Howdy, Stranger!
