Help Needed for an Inexperienced Oracle User

Hello,

I have been tasked to find a solution for a Finsihed goods Kanban process.  What I need to accomplish is:

As a Kanban is emptied in FG a person will scan the Kanban card which will drive/create a shop order to build replenishment units.

I am very limited in my knowledge of Oracle setup such as the above.  I can navigate through Oracle but I am unfamiliar with the logical setup process.  I have created rules and I have experimented with Kanaban but do not fully understand it. 

Would anyone have any tutotials, suggestions, or white papers that can point me in the right direction?
