Attaching X3-2L to EMC VMAX

 We are looking at attaching a Solaris 10 based X3-2L running Oracle database instances (each in their own non-global zone) into EMC VMAX and I had a couple questions.If this is not the right community please let me know.

1) The available HBA's are either 8 Gbit Emulex or 8 Gbit QLogic, is there a history or track record to indicate one is better than the other?
2) For multipathing, I would expect MPXIO to be supported by EMC but I suspect EMC's position would be it doesn't provide active-active that their PowerPath package does.
    Is there any history or experience that would help determine which multipathing package to use?
