How to make a standard non-XML report available in Excel Format

Hello,

We currently have a lot of standard Oracle non-XML GL reports that we are able to view in Text format in IE. Before we implemented Oracle R12.1.3, our team was informed by Oracle that it's a simple procedure to make standard non-XML based reports available in Excel formats. I am unable to find this procedure. Can you please expand on how we can make standard non-XML reports into excel format?

For example, when I run the report: "FSG - Report Summary Listing", Once I run the report, the output is in a text format - displayed on IE. We were told that we can use a simple procedure to make these types of reports into Excel format.
