Planning Time Fence in ASCP

How does ASCP, in an Enforce Capacity Constraints plan, take into account the Planning Time Fence set as Cumulative Manufacturing Lead Time or Total Lead Time? Does it calculate the lead time or must it be declared in the Inventory module of the ERP?
